Daily quota on Sockeye was down this year. One per person. We managed to get 6 for 9 tags the first day. Fishing slowed for the rest of the weekend as weather conditions declined.

Was at south end of rainbow alley kayak fishing next to Fort Babine, caught several small rainbows,1 keeper saw an amazing amount of salmon and rainbow jumping. Also kept hooking into a char type fish with no adipose fin, silver sides no spots and a white belly have looked at every reference available from the BC government and still have no clue as to what I was catching. Does anybody know what These fish were???

Try using a blue/silver Koho spoon or a willow leaf with a worm, and if all else fails just use a pencil float and some salted roe
